The hardware is designed to convert SIN-COS encoder signals to use it in specific drives.

SIN-COS-Converter
This signal converter hardware is designed to convert automatically voltage level, impedance and offset of SIN-COS encoder or resolver in order to adopt it to specific drives. In this special case the SIN-COS signal converter shifts SIN and COS tracks with 0.6Vpp (no DC offset) input signal to an output of 2Vpp with 2.5V DC offset. Herefore the hardware uses a teach-in-routine. Jumper on the SIN-COS-converter module sets different modes (automatic mode and manual mode). Push buttons justifies - in manual mode - the voltage levels and the signal offsets of both tracks. Two LEDs indicates the mode of operation. Over an integrated SUB-D header it is possible to monitor the original and the modified signals.
  • supply voltage: 12VDC - 30VDC.
  • supply current: < 30mA
  • 2 in-/outputs for SIN/COS tracks
  • input signal: 0.6Vpp
  • input impedance: 120 Ohm
  • output signal: 2Vpp + 2.5VDC
  • output impedance: 1 kOhm
  • mounting: DIN rail

  • Layout: TARGET3001! / Firmware: MPLAB IDE
