HALL Sensor electronics
The 4 channel HALL controller detects impulses and converts it into position- or angle informations. It is commonly used with elevators. With HALL sensors and assembled magnets on the leading rail, the hardware generates digital signals or RS232 structures, that is transferred to a peripheral device (e.g. floor indicator or WAV-player). The 4 channel HALL controller generates a current cabin position and driving direction signal. The device uses normally 2 HALL sensors, but optionally assembled with 4 HALL sensors, the device is able to generate also a plain-level-signal, that is necessarily used from special periphery devices. Therefore older elevators can be connected to modern visualisation or accoustic products. The 4 channel HALL controller recognises automatically the connected peripheral device. Other/newer devices can easily connected to the hardware by reprogramming the firmware.

The initial setup of the hardware is done with a teaching cabin movement through all floors. A button stroke activates this setup mode. Two LEDs are indicating the current state of setup and the possible use of a connected peripheral device. 4 additional LEDs, that are electrically assembled parallel to the HALL sensors, shows a change of the magnetic field.

As an OEM variant the 4 channel HALL controller can be used as an pulse counter, an angle detector or as a speedometer.
