The wound therapy device is used to clean exuded moisture of wounds by generating vacuum under a dressing for a specific duration. A pressure sensor controls the strength of the vacuum that is initially preset and optionally changeable. The duration is also preset and the therapy ends either automatically after expiration or after manually shut down. Three LEDs are used to indicate the operating modes.

Because of the very small PCB size of LxW=45x25mm and the resulting very low weight the device - with enclosure - gives a patient the ability to carry it.

An optionally PC Software is used to adjust some parameter and for monitoring system values such as current pressure, battery voltage and pump activity. The connection is done via needle bed adapter, as the device (with enclosure) does not show any interfaces to the outside environment.
