With the help of the integrated electronics and software for a needle bed adapter it is possible to examine either single / multiple PCBs or complete devices for functionality. The actual electronics consists of two components. There are needle-adapter-electronic (EPA) boards that provide the corresponding signals transferred to the needles or picked up from the needles, on the other hand there is a main-electronic (HPA) board that communicates with the PC and retrieves all information from the individual needle-adapter-electronic boards. Additional actuators (e.g. pump, relay, valve) and sensors (e.g. color sensor, photo sensor, temperature sensor) can be controlled/evaluated via the main-electronic board. The needle signals can exist in analog or digital form.

The testing software is linked to the main-electronic board via USB. It defines all test procedures and test cycles. The test itself is then automatically proceeded - of course with the option to intervene manually or setup individual test steps. A LOG file contains all relevant information about the test process and the test results.

Of course, a test adapter is always developed customer-specifically. Our main focus here is on electronic development and the testing software.
